i dont really see how i can use voice thread in my classroom. its seems like it would be good to use in english or something but i would not use this in my classroom with math.

1. I think the directions were not that clear for the activites and what exactly was wanted.

2. I thought it was kind of fun working in publisher although somewhat confusing becuase i have never done it before.

4. Desktop publishing seems very helpful and simple to use once you get used to it. You could use it for many other things such as using the brochure style format to have your students create a minature book, thats would i would use it for in my classroom. It allows them to br creative and think on their own while using technology.

I haven't started putting my information on a powerpoint yet, but I have read some information for my project. The topic for my project is the role of technology in the classroom. I think that my partner knows how to do the assignment, but we have not started putting information on a powerpoint yet. I think that it can be helpful having a partner, because my partner can teach me how to do things that I do not know how to do. But I do thing it is hard to do a project with another person, because it is hard to know where to start if you do not know where your partner is going to start.

i think matching the technology used in education with the technology used by students needs to be as close as possible. If the technology used in education works the same as the technology used by the students, they will be more comfortable with it and will not have to spend much time learning how to use the technology which gives them more time to learn the course material.The online chats and instant messaging can be a valuable tool in the classroom if guidelines are in place and if a program like epals is used.I think if they are monitored then they can add to student learning.The advantage to asynchronous text-based communication over synchronous communication is that it gives people time to think about the subject of the material and what they want to say about it.Podcast can help students when they go to create a podcast because they are going to have to know the material that they are going to cover in their podcast. Podcast also allow the students the chance to listen to material more than once if they need too.Videogame can help develop your studying if the games are educational or if you or designing a game. If the students are designing a game then they are learning the material they are using for the game plus they are learning from their peers that are helping in designing the game. The students also learn math skill from developing a video game. For the most part I agree with the article I would let my child videogame, but would limited the amount of time that they could.

I think is a really good website were you can get a lot of information . I did really thought it was a nice way to organized your files. I think that for me it was to much info ,and a little confuse. I would not think I would use it. But if i did it would be only to search important things are bookmark if I know I might going to used it are not. However, I really enjoy looking at the Delicious websites it was interesting to look at. The good thing is that if you need anything you just type it and it would find the information in a fast way.

Wikis

I personally like Wikis, i use it a lot when i have to write papers and i have to research people, places, or things. I has helped me a lot in learning new things and i understand things easier because it gets right to the point. I would use it in my classroom because the website is opened to anything you want to look up. It can also help in students with study guides, students staying in contact with each other, and group projects.

I am not sure if it would be better or just a different way to do it. I think there is benefits to traditional instruction as well as using learning communities. I think you still need the face to face instruction with the technology to compliment it. Students still need to interact with one another and be able to do papers and things by hand. The internet has become the easy way to find the information you need for different projects, but I think students still need to be able to find things in books, magazines, and newspapers.You would have to do a study using one classroom that only uses only traditional instruction and one that only uses learning communities to learn. After the study then you can compare the results to find out which one works better. I think the best results will be using a combination of both types of instruction

Spreadsheet is ok it is useful. You can do a lot of different things with a spreadsheet, and most of the work it does for you which makes it way easier. I am planning on using spreadsheet in my class foralot of different reasons but the main reason is for keeping my grades in line. Once i have it all togther then it does all the work for me which will take a big load of my back.As teachers we use spreadsheets because it is easier to keep everything organized while not using a ton of paper. There is a huge advantage of using spreadsheet over a calculator, spreadsheet all you have to do is enter the equation first then after that all you do is enter the numbers and it does all the calculations by it self.I think the three primary functions, which are storing, calculating, and presenting information. I think these are the best reasons to use spreadsheet, and i will not be using it for anything else

I think a useful way to do writing assignments is blogging. I think the only useful way to do that is during class though. You can't always rely on children having the technology at home, so still peer reviewing on line will still take time in class. I think for peer review is to let the student take home anothers paper and review and have time. This way they dont blow it off they actually do it. Also reviewing papers on the computer helps as well. It shows what's misspelled incorrect grammar and so forth. Also it may make learning not so boring for students. Instead of sitting listening to a lecture, they could periodically access the program online and learn that way.

Ithink that blogging is a good thing to have, beause you can do alot more things to really safe It is a lil like myspace .Bolging is a good technology tool I think thae school's shud have it in the classroom. because its it can be a helping tool .
